Dear Parents and Runners,
Here is our State Finals Meet Recap
I am so proud of everyone's hard work, dedication, and passion to become better runners and people this season. As a first year head coach, I believe this was a great season for all of us. I am pleased with our accomplishments and how far we have come together as a group and as individuals. That being said, there are always areas I can improve as a coach and areas we can improve as a team. Here our areas of focus for the upcoming months as many of us will prepare for track and other sports seasons.
Go Titans!

- Study hard and finish the semester/year strong in the classroom
- Rest and recover (Take two weeks off before running again if you can) Winter training will being the last week of November - more to come...
- Commit to our team's winter training program and join the track team
- Stay in touch with coaches and teammates
- Boone's Long Lake Inn, 7208 Secor Road in TC, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10th
- Runners, please dress nicely (dress shirt and khakis)
- The cost for adults will be $19 each with children twelve and under $7 each. Payment will be made by families (check, card or cash work just fine) at the restaurant. Adults have the option of 8 oz. prime rib, chicken breast, cod, or penne pasta. Children have the choice of chicken tenders, hamburger, macaroni and cheese, or penne pasta. There will be a cash bar for those adults wanting an adult beverage or children who want something other than soft drinks which are provided with the meal. If any parent would like to provide a dessert item that would be great since dessert is not included with the meal.
- If jerseys haven't been returned to Coach Kay yet, please bring them with you on Thursday, November 10th.
- Coach Alpers and myself have been brainstorming how our team can take the next step and be even more successful for the future. One thing that will truly benefit the entire team is to participate in winter training during our "off" season. I know many run track or compete in other sports, but to truly be competitive in our conference, our region, and ultimately our state, we believe winter training is a necessity for all of our runners. I will be coming out with more information on what our winter training will look like in the next couple of weeks.
Go Titans!
