Hello All,
The first week of track practice is only one week away! I would love to be there with the boys for this first week, but like I mentioned earlier I will be traveling with TCAPS to China for 9 days helping to recruit prospective exchange students. I will be back the week before spring break to lead the long distance runners. I wanted to send out a plan so everyone had a hard copy for the week I am gone. Head Coach Tom Brown will warm up the long distance guys and then we will follow these plans based on your running experience over the fall/winter for the first week of practice. Please run the plan appropriate for you according to your aspirations and abilities. The Saturday run will have to be on your own at home or from the dog park if you all want to organize a run, just remember coaches will not be present on that day unless Coach Alpers is available.
For freshman, please refer to the upperclassmen for guidance while I am out for the first week. Upperclassmen, be understanding and helpful to all new runners or runners that are unsure of how the track season works. We need everyone on the same page!
Due to inclement weather Coach Brown was unable to hold a track meeting last Wednesday. If you have any questions, please find Coach Tom Brown throughout this school week for more information and guidance.
Lastly, is anyone up for helping out with the Bayshore? We still need volunteers for the SAG detail (4 adults) and the aid station. This is a HUGE fundraising opportunity four our CC team, we need as many of you as we can! Please let me or Lorrie know ASAP so I do not have to cancel our spots. Many thanks for your continued support for the team and all of our amazing runners!
Best,
Coach Kay
